TheFans started with a simple obsession and became something much bigger — a home for groundhoppers everywhere.
It started the way most good things do — with a problem nobody else was solving. We were groundhoppers. We'd been to hundreds of grounds, across dozens of leagues, in multiple countries. And we had absolutely nothing to show for it except a battered spreadsheet and fading matchday memories.
We looked at every football app out there. Scores apps, stats apps, fantasy apps. All of them excellent at what they do. None of them built for us. For the fans who care more about the ground than the result. For the ones who plan their Saturdays around a new stadium rather than a particular fixture. For the groundhopper.
